Dr. Rajat Subhra Chakraborty

Prof. Chakraborty is the Susanta Kumar Gupta Chair Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur). He previously served as the Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, IIT Kharagpur, and has also contributed to leading global technology organizations including Intel and National Semiconductor.

Recognized among the World's Top 2% Computer Science Researchers in the field of Computer Hardware and Architecture for multiple years, Prof. Chakraborty is an internationally renowned researcher with significant contributions in Hardware Security, Electronic Design Automation (EDA), VLSI Systems, Digital Image Forensics, and AI-enabled security applications. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Senior Member of ACM, and has received several prestigious honors, including the Intel Unrestricted Research Grant Award, IBM Faculty Award, Outstanding Faculty Award from IIT Kharagpur, and the IEI Young Engineers Award.

Over the years, he has successfully led and contributed to numerous sponsored research and consultancy projects funded by organizations such as Intel, IBM, SERB, DST, DRDO, BRNS, CPRI, HAL, IGCAR, Wipro, and other Government of India agencies, advancing research in cybersecurity, hardware trust, digital forensics, artificial intelligence, and secure computing systems.
